Nationality Room Tours Continue through Summer

The University of Pittsburgh offers daily tours of its Nationality Classrooms, located on the first and third floors of the Cathedral of Learning. The 26 internationally famous rooms are gifts to the University from the city’s ethnic groups. Pitt student guides, familiar with the historical figures, myths, art, and events depicted in the rooms, lead the tours. Self-guided tours via cassette also are available.

Full tours take 90 minutes and are given each day except Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, 25, 31, and Jan. 1. Reservations are required for groups. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sundays and holidays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is adults $3; senior citizens $2; and youth ages 8-18 $.50.
