Law Luncheon

On July 11, Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), Pitt Law ‘62, hosted a luncheon in the Senate Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Office Building for more than 80 Washington, D.C.-area University of Pittsburgh law school graduates. From left: U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart (R-Pa.) ‘87, law school Dean Emeritus W. Edward Sell, Hatch, and School of Law Dean David J. Herring. At the luncheon, Herring updated the graduates on the school’s certificate programs while noting its success in fund-raising efforts and the 98.5 percent placement rate for the Class of 2000. ppermam, and COPC codirector, Tracy Soska, of Pitt’s School of Social Work.
