National Debate

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Auditor General Robert P. Casey Jr. and U.S. Senator Arlen Specter were featured June 30 in an American Experience Distinguished Lectures debate hosted by Pitt’s Honors College. The topic of the debate was “Should you vote for President Bush, Senator Kerry, or neither?” David M. Shribman, executive editor and vice president of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, acted as the discussion’s designated interrogator. Above, Robert Hazo, center, director of the lecture series, introduces Casey, left, and Specter, right.
