Sandra A. Murray (right), a professor in the Pitt medical school’s Department of Cell Biology and Physiology, received the E.E. Just Award from the American Society for Cell Biology’s (ASCB) outgoing president Harvey Lodish last month in Washington, D.C. The award acknowledges outstanding scientific achievement by a minority scientist. Murray also gave the 2004 E.E. Just Lecture, titled “Function at the Junction: Analysis of Gap Junction Protein Expression and Dynamics in Adrenocortical Cortex,” during the 44th annual ASCB meeting.
