Seven Pitt alumnae took part in Discover Leaders From Pitt, a program designed to reconnect alumnae with the University and an opportunity for the Pitt graduates to share their knowledge and experiences with today’s students. Meeting with students in various Pitt classrooms March 30-April 7 were (clockwise from top left): Monica L. Iurlano, executive vice president and chief resource officer of Michael Baker Corp., who received the Master of Arts in Public Administration degree from Pitt in 1980; Pauline Nist, vice president of the NonStop Enterprise Division of Hewlett Packard, who earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and computer science from the University in 1971; Debbi Gillotti, senior director of Worldwide Customer Engagement for Microsoft’s Public Sector business unit, who in 1977 received the Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and history here; Jane Bilewicz Allred, senior vice president of Brighton Agency, Inc., who graduated from Pitt in 1971 with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English; Elaine V. Jones, a principal of ESR and ESRBP, who earned the Ph.D. degree in microbiology in 1981 here; author Bebe Moore Campbell, who in 1971 received the Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from the University; and Bobbie Gaunt, who received the Bachelor of Science degree in education from Pitt in 1972 and retired nearly three decades later as a corporate vice president and president and CEO of Ford of Canada. (Gaunt serves on several boards, including the board of visitors at Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business; in 2004, she was interim CEO at ADVO, Inc.) Discover Leaders From Pitt was presented by the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Provost, and the Pitt Alumni Association.
