Swearing In

Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy last week swore in Pitt’s Deborah L. Walker to a four-year term on the city’s Citizen Police Review Board. The advisory board receives and investigates complaints about police misconduct. Walker served for 15 years as a member of the University of Pittsburgh Police Department and is now assistant director for community standards in Pitt’s Office of Residence Life.
