Pitt to Host 2007 Chinese Coffee House and Spring Festival Feb. 26

Pitt’s Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) and Office of Cross-Cultural and Civic Leadership will host the 2007 Chinese Coffee House and Spring Festival Celebration from 5 p.m. to midnight Feb. 26 on the main floor of the William Pitt Union.

The Spring Festival, celebrating the Chinese New Year, provides an opportunity for Chinese students, scholars, and their families to celebrate and share their culture with the University community.

The schedule of events follows.

5-6:30 p.m.—Chinese Coffeehouse, including calligraphy and paper cutting. Tea and snacks will be served.

6:30-8 p.m.—Chinese Dinner in celebration of the Year of the Boar, with food provided by Oakland’s Little Asia and Szechuan Express. Preregistration is required at www.pittcssa.net.

6:30 p.m.-midnight—Party, including dance, karaoke, and a stage performance.

This event is free and open to students, faculty, and staff. It is cosponsored by Pitt’s Graduate and Professional Student Association, the Asian Studies Center within the University Center for International Studies, and the Alcohol-Free Mini Grant fund.
