The letters FTK (“For The Kids”) were everywhere, including on t-shirts and as a popular hashtag on Twitter. Pitt students exceeded their $100,000 goal, raising $153,067.99 during the 24-hour Pitt Dance Marathon in February in Pitt’s Cost Sports Center. The funds will support children who are battling cancer at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. About 570 students registered, with each dancer raising at least $150 and committing to 24 hours on his or her feet as part of the event’s requirements.
