Humanities: Live!

Issue Date:
March 28, 2016

Painters, dancers, and musicians gathered March 14 for the grand opening of the “Center for Creativity: The Workshop.” Located downstairs in the University Store on Fifth, the center is a pilot space primarily for creating connections among members of the University community, while also making drawings, music, scenes, apps, and definitely messes. Jeanne Marie Laskas, director of Pitt’s Writing Program, and a steering committee breathed life into the center, which is open to anyone with a Pitt ID. Materials provided. Amateurs welcome.
