Newsmaker: Buck Favorini Says Farewell
Pitt staff, faculty, and alumni, as well as regional theater directors and friends gathered April 12 in Pitt’s Charity Randall Theatre to attend “The Last Class” of Buck Favorini—Pitt professor, scholar, award-winning playwright, founder of the Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival and founder and longtime chair of Pitt’s Department of Theatre Arts. Favorini is retiring after an illustrious 44-year career at Pitt. About 150 people turned out to hear Favorini’s comments and wish him well.
