The Partnership Continues
Issue Date:
August 20, 2013
Pitt Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg (right) and Carnegie Mellon University President Subra Suresh, who assumed his new role on July 1, spent time with each other this summer, discussing ways to further strengthen the unique and very productive partnering relationship that exists between the two neighboring universities. They are shown here following an early-August meeting in the Cathedral of Learning. President Suresh, who served as director of the National Science Foundation before assuming the CMU presidency, also will deliver the Provost Lecture as part of Science 2013, Pitt’s annual celebration of science. That lecture will be given at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, in the 7th-floor auditorium of Alumni Hall.
