Heinz Memorial Chapel ranks No. 29 on a list of the 50 most beautiful wedding venues on college campuses, according to College Ranker, a rating service for all aspects of college life. The nondenominational chapel, which was given to Pitt by the H.J. Heinz family, was dedicated in 1938. It averages 180 weddings annually, although the 2015 tally will be lower due to the chapel’s five-month closure for the installation of a climate-control system. Fear not, the chapel will reopen June 1, with plenty of time for a festive summer wedding season.
