A Taste of (Old) Europe
Fencers jousted on the green between Posvar Hall and Hillman Library as part of Pitt’s Europe Day Festival on May 7. The fencers are part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international organization that researches and recreates the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. The festival was hosted by Pitt’s European Studies Center, part of the University Center for International Studies. The day featured artisans, food booths, cultural performances, and children’s activities. (Photo by Emily O'Donnell)
